The gift of pashmina
According to historical records, the tradition of Kashmiri Pashmina weaving dates back to the 15th century, with the then Kashmiri ruler Zain-ul-Abidin credited with establishing the weaving industry in the region, making Pashmina shawls centuries old; however, some sources suggest the origins of Pashmina may even reach as far back as the 3rd century BC.
